A compact american saloon car from the early 80s

Image
Oldsmobile Omega was one of the first front-wheel drive cars in the US. After the 1973 oil crisis, the biggest automakers in the US started to downsize their products. GM built a platform for front-wheel driven compact cars and Oldsmobile was the first manufacturer who built a new model for this platform. It was the Omega, debuted in 1980. Majorette also created the small version of this at that time popular car. It appeared first in the 1982 Majorette catalog in silver color. In 1983 the model received this nice light blue painting, in 1985 with a grey one with side stickers, in 1986 the car received a rally style stickers and painting. It was the last year when the Omega appeared in Majorette's lineup. The model has a very nice finish, it has a metal base, opening hood where the engine is visible and a drawbar. The suspension is great as a Majorette-suspension in the 80s. The Oldsmobile Omega produced for 4 years with many variants. It often appears on eBay and other auctio

Keep the streets clean with a Bernard Garbage truck

Image
Groupe Bernard is one of French's oldest truck manufacturing company. It produces many kinds of trucks since 1958. Bernard has a big importance in Majorette's history, because the toy-car manufacturer made several versions of Bernard-truck diecast since the beginnings, 1968. (Large Ladder, Trailer, Snow Shovel, Fork, Waste Tray, Low Bed, Maraicher, Float Trailer)... You can see them in this 1968 catalog: The Garbage truck appeared in 1968, but with the wheel variant and color, the cars have in this post first appeared in 1975. It is a very cool and rare vintage diecast, with working Garbage tray.

Toyota Land Cruiser, the off-road workhorse

Image
The Land Cruiser is one of Toyota's all-time classic. It is a very reliable and robust off-roader which competes with the classic Jeep and a very common sight in South America, Africa and the parts of the World, where transport is a challenge due to bad road conditions or extreme weather. The Majorette version of this great model first appeared in 1982 as a part of Series 200. It has a full-metal body, opening rear window, big wheels (this car made for off-road of course), a drawbar and a great suspension.  These two come from a Hungarian auction site, called Vatera in a pack of other Majorette cars. The side stickers are almost missing on the brown-one, however, the painting and the car is in a good condition. The white one is a promotional model, probably given as a gift, with a unique logo on its roof.

Travel to the seaside with a classic Saab 900 and St Tropez Caravan

Image
Saab 900 is a great classic. It is also true for its small version created by Majorette. The model appeared first in 1983 in Majorette's catalog. It came in various colors: green, black, metallic grey. It has superb suspension and opening doors. The trunk doesn't open, but you can see tennis-stuff packed in the boot. It is a nice feature. The car has a drawbar, and it is able to tow a Caravan. The Caravan is a St Tropez one, it appeared around 1978 in Majorette catalogs paired with a Ford Capri or Renault 18 in yellow or white base color, and seaside or music themed graphics. This one has waves painted on its side. It's door missing but in a nice overall condition. The Saab's painting also worn a bit, but its suspension and doors work fine. You can find both models as part of eBay auctions Saab is more or less a common vintage majorette diecast which appears on eBay. It's price varies but doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
